A "green" flower studio is one that is aware and use products recognized by Veriflora, Florverde, Rainforest Alliance, etc, which are farms from all over the world currently using sustainable practices in growing their flowers. Each is substantially reducing, changing and eventually eliminating toxic pesticides that are affecting our soil and groundwater. They have also implemented health, safety and wage standards. By using these farms we are supporting their efforts and influencing other farms to obtain certification, thereby conducting their business in a more sustainable way.
Other Bloom Where You're Planted green efforts include limiting the use of toxic and non-biodegradable floral foam, spray paints and leaf shines. We recycle containers and encourage our customers to do so as well. We are continually sourcing alternative recycled glass vases and Made in the USA containers. We consciously plan our driving routes.
Be aware that we vote with our money. Ask for earth sustainable, socially just floral designs.
